Recently eBay launched its new iPhone Motor App to make buying cars, parts and accessories via eBay on a Smartphone much easier.
The Motor App has new features that include image recognition to make the App find items faster and efficiently.
Also the new vehicle finder allows shoppers to snap a picture of the rear of the car and then let the App search the database of eBay and match photos to vehicles that are available on the site.
The home screen for the App is fully customisable and shows live listings in the gallery and an interactive garage. The garage feature allows users to save the vehicles that have been marked as a favourite and dream cars they wish to own which then can be shared on social networking sites.
Other features that come with the App include a free vehicle history report; there is also an option called auto check for each vehicle in order to give you a full report, providing peace of mind if you think the car is too good to be true.

Motors is one of the most popular categories on eBay UK, and the most popular car brands purchased via a smart phone include Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, BMW and Peugeot. Over 19,000 Ford cars were purchased on eBay UK between January and March 2012.
