PayPal are set to restructure the company to help grow the mobile theme and become simpler for users.
PayPal are trying to help the 110million customers by building a better experience for different products. Last week PayPal.com unveiled a new redesigned website enabling account holders to login and encounter a much more efficient and user friendly service.
This restructure has also coincided with the launch of new mobile apps such as ‘inStore’, which allows users to pay for products using their mobile.
In April the company went through a change to help payments for small business develop into a much larger service called PayPal payments. The change was made to help users deploy online, in-person and mobile payments.
The new organisation structure also hints at an increased growth of products, including its credit product called BillMeLater. PayPal’s President commented about the change within the company; “Mobile is simpler by definition. Starting product designs from mobile will force the elimination of features introducing unneeded complexity.”
The world of mobile is where the future is and PayPal are taking advantage as it offers offline payments. PayPal has made its name in online payments and can they see profitable opportunities exist in targeting the 90% of physical transactions which currently occur and to make this happen the company need to change their mobile structure to help it become more user friendly
